A Return to Pokémon Go

maxresdefault (3)IT KIND OF WANTS YOU TO GO AWAY

When any meaningful updates seemed a long way away several months back, we kind of gave up on Pokémon Go. Our area simply offered too little of interest to keep playing and there wasn’t really any motivation other than the Pokémon you could catch and when we caught what was available, there was no real reason to continue. We weren’t having fun anymore.

Now, the second generation has been added as well as some daily rewards. Around the time of the previous global event, which massively increased the spawn rates of water-type Pokémon, we decided to give the game another shot.

So, having played the game fairly consistently for some time, what do we think?

Meh sums it up quite nicely.

WOW, WE REALLY FEEL LIKE ACTUAL TRAIN-OH, THE SERVER’S DOWN AGAIN

As you might have heard, the European release of Pokémon GO has been delayed until further notice due to issues with Niantec’s servers. The game’s popularity has caused incredible strain, causing them to frequently stall or crash.

Of course it is already available in Australia, New Zealand and America and will remain functional while Niantec tries to fix the problem. European players with an android device can get a head start by downloading the Application’s file here.

We did this and we’ve had a lot of fun with the game over the past few days. It’s a good excuse to go out and explore and it’s fun to actually be the one roaming around looking for Pokémon personally for once.

GO, GO, GO!

*Update!*
The App is currently available on both the Apple and Android App stores in America. Us Europeans will have to “Please wait a while”, according to the Pokemon Company. That is, sadly, the extent of the information provided about a European release. A launch trailer has been released as well, which you can find in the article below.

As of today, Pokémon Go is available on the Apple App store and Google play store!…In certain regions, that is.

THE BATTLE FOR A GOOD REVIEW HAS BEGUN!

We wanted to talk about another indie game today, but the only indie game we’ve played in a while sucked, so we decided to talk about something that isn’t technically indie, but still something not a lot of people will know. Despite the fact that IGN did a piece on it. We weren’t aware of that until we looked up the game’s official website, that is.

That’s why we’re talking about Vainglory, a MOBA developed by Super Evil Megacorp and perfected for touchscreens…That probably caused most of you to roll your eyes and close the page, but stick with us on this one. It really is a great game.

THE BATTLE FOR A GOOD REVIEW HAS BEGUN!
